What a good website brief actually needs
A short checklist that saves weeks of back-and-forth before a single page is designed.

A website brief does not need to be long. It needs to be honest about goals, audiences, and constraints — so the team can spend its time solving the right problem.
The essentials
Who is the site for, and what should they do after visiting? What content already exists, and who will maintain it after launch? What does success look like in six months?
What to leave out
Skip the feature wish list and the list of sites you like. Share the problems you are trying to solve instead, and let the design process find the right shape for the solution.
